The top-ten placing in the AFR Boss Best Places to Work list 2021 for the Manufacturing & Consumer Goods category comes on the back of a number of new employee-focused initiatives.
The entire team at Laminex is proud to announce that we have been recognised as one of Australia’s best workplaces, being named at number 10 on the AFR Boss Best Places to Work list for the Manufacturing & Consumer Goods category. It’s welcome recognition of our longstanding commitment to providing a supportive, challenging and rewarding workplace, and highlights the value and impact of a range of recent employee-focused initiatives.
Our Work From Anywhere arrangement represents the dawning of a new era for Laminex employees, with the change to remote working for non-operational staff that happened during COVID being made permanent. As a result, all head office and sales teams, including both existing and future employees, are now able to work from any location. But importantly, they’re supported with tools, learning opportunities and other initiatives specific to this new way of working.
One of these is the Virtual Leaders Program, which provides guidance for 100 Laminex employees who are now responsible for leading distributed teams under the new arrangement. Another, LaminexLIVE, is an interactive learning experience that aims to keep all of our team members engaged and connected. It focuses on key themes, such as communication, that are critical to the success of any flexible work arrangement.
All of this employee-focused innovation builds on a well-established workplace culture at Laminex. One that prizes curiosity, innovation, a fascination with what’s possible and a restless desire to make things better. Being recognised by AFR Boss as a great place to work is incredibly pleasing.
